In the early evening I sit out on the porch and write, But I always have the camera out, just in case.
Well I saw this guy and figured wth? I just down loaded Picasa and tried to see what I can do with it. Not much it turns out. The eye is a particular problem. When I tried to get rid of the multi-colored pupil nothing good happened. So i used the fine tuning and got this. I enhanced the colors a little. And I cropped it too.
What do ya think? I am going to get Aperture or Lightroom some time, but for now this is my program of choice.

thanks for your critique!

I would like to see this picture cropped in landscape orientation with a little more space in front of the bunny.

After you select your picture click store original. Then send.

Taking pictures of items close to home is what most of us do. I like the subject. I also like the landscape version much better. You might be better served to have closed your f stop more. It seems to me that the focus is at its best on the rabbits near ear. If you used a higher f stop and brought up your ISO to compensate, you would have gotten more of bugs in focus. Hope this is helpful.

I would like to see this bunny with more room in front, probably with a vertical crop since the rabbit is long. The eye is a problem and can be corrected with photoshop or there are some free ones on the internet such as gimp.

You do have a shallow depth of field but it looks like you have the eye in focus and for me that is the important part.

I tried using Picasa to help with the eye. It is the first time I have done any PP other than Cropping. This image is cropped and I can redo the whole pic. I am not sure how to change the eye's color. You should have seen it before i tried to retouch it!

Depends on the animal. This one might be able to be cleaned up with the red eye removal tool.

I live in western NC, Perhaps the fractiong we are are going to get involved with has done some thing to the evolution of our native rabbits?

Really though, the original images had a multi colored eyeball. Half was black and the other was purple. The eyeball was half and half, black and purple.
