I have been using it on a Canon 60D so far.
I am thinking about getting a 70D and dedicate it to this lens.

How would Tamron know which camera model you have in the first place to send out notices.
An f/6.3 600mm lens is not going to be great in low light no matter who makes it, you have to realize that and adjust for it. I don't think there is anything else out there that can do what this lens can do for $1069. Yes you can do better with a$12000 prime, and it might be worth it to a pro but for me as a hobbyist it does just fine.
Forgot to add, I use AI servo with back button focus all the time and it works fine.

Wow, beautiful shot huskyrider! I am thinking about getting the Tamron 150-600mm lens. That shot really sells it!

That's what I did and the results were amazing.
The 70d is a perfect match for this lens.
Have been able to shoot some high ISO images with good results.

Thanks for the kind remark and if you do get it I think you will enjoy it.

I had originally preordered one from B&H but cancelled after waiting two months. Got the itch for a long lens so bought one from Ritz Camera. It arrived obviously used since the flaps opened loosely, the inner bags look crinkled and worn. Someone bought it and returned it just like I am about to do.

I spent the weekend test shooting this lens and I am sorry to say that I am not as thrilled as I should be. The attraction of this lens is that it is a super telephoto that can pull in subjects to fill a frame from 100 feet away. But in my shooting I was never happy with the sharpness that I was getting. In fact this shot is the sharpest of the bunch.

The vibration reduction didn't seem to help much. Hand holding at 500th/sec on a static subject should have yielded much sharper images at 400-500 range, but wasn't happy. Looked like ghosting edges, as though VR wasn't working.

I had high hopes that for $1100 this lens would kick butt...but was disappointed that to get any sharpness I had to go F8, had to be on a tripod, had to have static subjects, and had to sharpen a fair amount.

Next look: Canon 400m f5.6 prime for nearly the same price. Figure, if it looks good with a doubler I'm set.

I have a Nikon D300S. Bought the Tamron 150-600 lens. Immediately had problems with the auto focus. Took it to a very reliable camera shop to get the lens calibrated with my camera, and they told me the AF was broken. It was under warranty, so sent it back to Tamron. They returned to me, but I still have some problems (although not as much) with the AF not wanting to lock on the subject. Just goes in and out. After the repair by Tamron, went back to the camera shop. They had to do 20+ and the lens is still front focusing. I'm not a beginner, and I have many other lens, one of which is the Nikon 200-400. I never have a problem with focus on that lens, but almost all the photo's I take with the Tamron are soft. The camera store said the lens needs to be adjusted by Tamron. And they are reluctant to believe that I have a problem and to fix my lens. Going to try again next week to get Tamron to believe me.
