Crocus - What do you think?

Found black poster board for background and set up the tripod. I usually handhold, so heeded all the advice about using a tripod.
I did slightly crop the first two and sharpened all of them. No other editing done.

What do you think about these?

Thank you, to all who responded. I'm glad to know that I am on the right track. And I must admit that using the tripod was a great learning experience. I discovered that I could use a low shutter speed to bring more light into the camera and that I could set the aperture to a larger number for better depth of field. I guess that's called decreasing aperture. Anyway the results were much better than handholding the camera. I did these in the house by a window. Too cold outdoors for plants at this time of year. So I bought one to practice on.

Thank you. I see you live in Minnesota as well. Where? I live in St. Cloud now. Before that in Cambridge.

I moved to St. Cloud when I retired in June of 2002. I lived in Cambridge for 16 years and before that a couple of places in the Isanti area for 18 years.
