I know someone out there can help me out here. I was sorting through some really old (like 40 years!!) that I must have had way back in my film days.
The old brain just cannot figure out what they are:
1. marked "Pro 55 #2" I know the 55 is mm
2. marked "Pro 55 #3" same comment as above
The glass in both appear to be clear. No brand noted on the ring of either one. I believe they may be Hoya, as I seem to recall having both Vivitar and Hoya filters.
Thanks,
Mike

Seems like they may be close up filters. They are usually numbered 1,2,3, etc. Hold them over some print and look for magnification.

Thank you, Bob. I did what you suggested and that is what they are. That mystery is solved.
Now I have no idea why I would have them. I have no recollection of ever using them. Oh, well, they may have belonged to someone else and wound up in my old stuff.
Thanks again

You made this old fart laugh at that remark. It is the truth at times.

When you can hide your own Easter Eggs that's something to worry about

The G.A.S. is strong in this one. So strong, that he bought stuff decades ago which he used so infrequently that he doesn't even remember buying it. I have a close-up filter as well, with a comparable amount of disuse, because I got a macro lens soon afterwards. The macro did get used a lot. :-)

Hah! Never would have figured that one out. Thanks.
Now all I have to do is remember it. Seem to be suffering from SomeHeimer's tonight. Maybe it'll be full blown Alzheimer's by morning!

Actually none of the above.
Iso Bob had it cleared up just a few minutes after I posted for help.
Thanks anyway

Did you ever own a Yashica Electro 35? It came with the type of auxiliary lenses you seem to have. As I recall, one was a magnifier and one was a wide angle. Both were pretty useless. I think I used mine once or twice and then put them away, never to be seen again.
