Chit Chat In General

For the past couple of years I have been a frequent visitor to Chit Chat. Although I do not agree with the opinions of many of the other participants, I do enjoy reading all opinions. In a few instances I have joined in and expressed my opinion. I will admit my blood pressure will spike in some cases as I am absolutely flabbergasted at how naive and misinformed some folks are. Yet they continue to press on with their position even when challenged with an intelligent counter argument. In most cases those folks that voice these ill-informed opinions tend to attack the other party with petty and childish comments. That's when it really gets fun!

So what have I learned from Chit Chat? First off, everybody has their own opinion. Secondly, the lack of "face to face" encounters results in decorum and respect to rapidly escape the tenor of the dialog. Third, I have collected a few really good jokes. And lastly (most importantly) human nature really hasn't changed much: we're still a bunch of assholes for the most part!

I enjoyed your post and agree very much! I don't comment on the chit chats most of the time as well.

Chris :) :)

Yes, you have analyzed this forum accurately, and have characterized its residents correctly. I, rather often unsuccessfully, try not to post too frequently, however, sometimes I just can not image the universe of UHH continuing without knowing my correct and highly insiteful opinion. I also beleive that my spelling will catch on.

I have been told, repeatedly, to "get off my high horse", but I am very comfortable on my high horse, thank you very much.

I will confess that I am an extremely humble soul, in fact I am rather proud of my humility. I am most likely the most humble individual you have or will ever meet.

The one trait I possess that might be more impressive than my humility is my lack of a competitive nature. I do not exaggerate, I have said this at least a million times. I have no competitive bones in my body, I am willing to wager with anyone that I am less competitive than they are.

And finally, I am extremely serious about my humor. I do not joke about my humor, I find great pleasure in seriouness of laughter.

Funny post! I could also brag about being humble but that would not be an example of humility so I won't. Also betting someone that they are less competive is an act of competition in itsself. I imagine this is an example of your unique humor that I take quite seriously.

I may not be a handsome individual, but do we have to bring up my face?

But we can be nearly perfect ones, you must admit.

Bravo guys, I just hope that chit chat does not reflect the majority view of photo hobbiest, that would be too scary.
