Hi all,
Shot these 2 in England last fall.
Was up fairly high.
Turned around and there they were - right in my face!
There were sooooooooo many of them.
Well, there was only one thing I could think to do that made ANY sense whatsoever - take their pictures.
I was warned that there might be legal repercussions, but I just did not care.
I am glad I did not listen to the party- p**pers up there with me.
I'd love to get some comments. There is another part of the story I'll share in 24 hours or so. If I add that now, it'll give the hole thing away.
Enjoy,
MadMike (as in slightly nuts)
I do believe that is "Flying Buttress" , buttocks is something different and not nearly as interesting in general.
Do you plan on doing any PP? A little straightening of verticals would help. I do like the pictures though.

I am fully aware. Check your PM for the back-story.
At some point, I do plan to do some PP. Just not quite there yet. I agree with your comment about straightening the verticals. The shots were taken from a rather awkward angle.

Mike, I sure got a good chuckle out of your post's title. I also enjoyed seeing the photographs, as they were taken from a different point of view than most.
I'm looking forward to reading the remaining part of the story.

I like these. They capture, not only the nuances of the light on the various surfaces, but also provide a point of view that is not seen very often.

I try not to take the shot from the usual angle. Some of my favorites are looking up at whatever it is that I'm shooting, or looking through something (like a doorway, window, or archway). Unfortunately, I have a bit of a problem with the "looking up at" shots due to some really bad arthritis in my neck. I need something solid to brace my back against.
Speaking of through something, here is one through an outhouse (serious here!) window in Alaska. I looked to my right as I was heading out and there was this beautiful, well, here it is!
From the outhouse window
Walking out of the outouse
Nice shots, Mike. I am fascinated by the skill of the stone cutters of that time in history. They did incredible work.

Very nicely done. I do believe this is the very first image I've seen taken through an outhouse. I've taken some of an outhouse, but never from.

And it was so smooth, too. I stood there with my camera in one hand, while running my other hand over the pillars. At first I got some really strange looks, but then others got into the act and understood.

It depends on WHO'S buttocks you're looking at!

I was so looking forward to a photo of "flying buttocks", something that I don't believe I have ever seen.....
Really nice inside shots!
