I took this at maximum range for my 70 - 300mm Canon zoom lens. For obvious reasons I didn't want to get any closer!

If I had been the one holding the camera, that critter would only be about 1/2 or maybe 1/4 that size!!! I have smelled too many and if I get even a 'minor' whiff of that scent I figure I am WAY too close!!

I have been sprayed by a juvenile Skunk (poor sphincter control) before. Had to strip on the back deck, drop clothes in garbage bag then garbage. Incidentally, tomato juice does not work. A rub down with acetone (ugh) did the trick.

There is a better and less toxic remedy. :thumbup:
