It would not surprise me in the least if this loaded handgun was indeed planted by some gun grabbing buffoon from the Brady bunch, Bloombergs Mayors Against Guns, or any of their ilk. They are losing their arguments in the public opinion, and have suffered massive defeats on much of their legislative agenda (except here in Colorado, where we have morons in the State Legislature) that they could stoop to these low level tactics. These idiots from TX carry assault rifles into restaurants and stores and are being bounced out of many. Even the NRA got in on the action by telling them it was weird and tried to discourage them from doing it so they cut up their NRA cards. The NRA naturally went begging to them taking back everything they'd said before.

They're doing what I like to see them doing...and they'll be crying when they're thrown out of places because not everyone is going to take the loss for a bunch of mental cases. I signed the petition for Target and will for any others along the road. The foolish boy-men and the NRA have to be taught a lesson.

I was saddened by the news yesterday about the three police officers ambushed and murdered in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. What made me even more sad was the report stating that they have not had a murder since 2012. Moncton is a city of 60,000 people. About like Bangor Maine. Bangor, like many cities in the US, has murders every week - drug-related murders, domestic-violence murders, child abuse murders. And these are committed with all kinds of weapons. Canada doesn't have the gun-crazy attitude of America, but they also are obviously a much less violent society. I wonder how they do that... And here we are hardly going a week without a mass shooting episode either. Interesting to think about.

News reports I saw broadcast indicated he had two rifles. Imagine the damage he might inflict - he's still at large - if he also had a couple of semi-automatic pistols. Canada has strict regulations on hand-gun ownership.

Yes, after pondering your question I have come to ask how in the world can Canada have a gun crazed individual running around killing people when they have some of the most repressive gun control laws in the free world?
