Rarely is the day that I do not encounter one or more political postings attempting to provoke and offend "the other side". Does this reflect a particular genetic trait or simply depth of ignorance combined with pugilistic inclinations? :)

It's all about being right even when they know they're wrong.

I'd wager a guess that most if not all politicians (both sides!) have just a touch of sociopathy. It certainly shows in their work (work, hah! I made myself laugh).

I agree. It shows how stupid they are. I mean, why post political views to a photography site? Perhaps we should find a political discussion site and post a few contentious photography viewpoints - just to see how we get on?

"Canon has brought this country to it's knees".

"No, it's those fools who follow Nikon who are leading us down the path of destruction".

Bravo! One of the most clever ( and funny ) political rants I have seen in this photography forum. We could call Nikon users " NIkonpoops" and Canon "Cannots" like some people call our president "Obummer" Now THAT is a photography forum. Could we instate a rule that we can only rant on camera subjects? What a novel idea?

Guys/Gals, we all know that the "Chit Chat section is for "non photography" subjects on this forum (we should that is , if we bothered to read the heading of it)..... If you are averse to those subjects, simply stay out of that section...

I'm not adverse to non-photography subjects, I'm just adverse to Mean, intolerant, idiots that use anger and negative name calling to try and make everyone see their way. What is wrong with asking for a bit of respect and humor ( and a relative degree of general intelligence) to make a point? Fellow 'hedgehoggers' should not be called names under any circumstances. Especially for their beliefs and point of view. General banter should be fun and provocative, not loathsome, distasteful, and offensive. We should all be able to disagree with a certain degree of understand of others. So carry on 'Chit-chatters', let's just have a bit of consideration for others. Is that too much to ask?

Agreed. Some posters are so stupid you wonder how they manage to fit that amount of stupid in only one head.

bunuweld, you have a very strong point there. What's wrong with laughing, telling a few jokes with it turn political. Somepeople are just looking for a fight and to do it on a photo form, now matter what the subject, is NOT the place for it. If you have a political problem with some one, write your politician, I for one DO NOT want to hear it and I fell many others on this form don't either. Like I say, from Rodney King, can't we all just get along.............if their arguments are anything like their photography we are all in deep trouble................
