Standing on top of the dune and looking north, I could see waves of dune grass but I can't get them to show up on a print they way they look to my eye except as in this shot. The trouble with this shot is that the beach sand looks purple and that isn't right. Does anybody have a suggestion what could be done in camera to address this?

It looks like Canada in the distance. :D

White balance or post processing.

Use a tripod and slow down the shutter speed like you would when shooting a waterfall. An ND filter may be necessary to prevent overexposure. Shoot at sunrise or very early in the AM when the sky will not be so washed out.

Either way, it sounds like a great Saturday morning project.

It looks like canada? Damn, I thought the camo kit I bought would disguise it. What tipped you off?

Wouldn't the evening light be better given western exposure? Thanks for the suggestions. I have a ND filter, but I don't know if I had it on the lens. I don't think so. I will get organized in a little while.
