The statement within the article about no Mortgage is true. I feel so much better without that thought each month. Although I didn't pay $400,000.00 cash, the amount I did pay left money in the accounts and at the end of each month and before they are due, I pay every utility/service bill off with $ 0.00 balance showing. It is a stress reducer for sure and no car payments show up either.

Our mortgage is paid off and so are our cars. It's great to have only utilities to pay for each month - and with a well and septic, we don't have water and sewage to pay either.
