It actually says, "Error D70" ?
I've never heard of that. You're using a USB cable? Same one you've used before on the same computer?
Can you use a card reader and get the images that way?

Also try a different usb port on the computer.. I have 1 bum port on mine. As was said earlier, verify the usb cable is good. I haven't used the cable to get images in several years.. card readers are much better and faster.
Many card readers have CF card readers. I got my last one at Staples for about $30. and it reads CF, SD, Micro, SD, XD, and MS. I carry it on trips since my laptop only reads sd.
