Help with raw settings

I purchased a Sony rx100 and my understanding is that it will shoot raw. Trying to figure out how to get this camera to shoot raw has run into obstacles. The book that came with the camera doesn't help I fact I cannot fid anything in the book about raw files. Can someone shed some light on this subject

1. Press "Menu"
2. The first menu set is the "Camera" icon, with 5 "pages"
3. Camera page 1, third item is "Quality", press the center of the selector wheel
4. Select from four choices (raw, raw+jpeg, fine, standard), press the center of the selector wheel to pick the one you want
5. Press "Menu"
