Lacewing Larvae's first ever meal...

Lucky to have spotter this one... Close to sunset & it was in the leaves of a tree pretty far. Saw the aphid moving erratically & snapped off several frames... Not the best of shots but It's OK...Noted that it had no carcasses on it's back so this must have been it's first meal...

One for the lacewing and one for the aphid. Strange to see a bare lacewing larvae.

It's amazing how many different insects the aphid population supports. Actually quite useful when you think about it...
