While taking one of our weekly drive abouts, we spotted this little guy. This is first road runner that my husband saw. He just sat there so patiently, and when we tried to get him to run, he just puffed up his feathers to appear larger. No matter what we did, he would not move.

Nasty bird. Will kill smaller birds but on the good side he will also kill and eat snakes (including small rattlesnakes), scorpions and other critters.
