Just came on board a little while ago and am so glad I stumbled on the UHH.
I love wildlife photography most of all, but will try new subjects and will photograph almost anything. Actually photoed a couple of piles of moose poo at one of our campsites in Alaska as well as piles of wild horse poo on Assateaque (sp??) Island. Couldn't find the horses, so I photoed the evidence they were around.
When I was in my 20's, I was just starting out in photography as a serious hobby, but then life took over and my hobby went on the back burner. I am now retired and travel all over - no place is too close or too far - with my spouse. My little Sony P&S did great great on our 1st post-retirement trip to AK, but I felt the pull of my old Konica SLR . Researched the heck out of the subject and decided the Nikon D5200 would best suit my needs now and allow me to grow into it in the future.
I am blessed in that I live in an area where shore birds abound. I do not even need to drive to get to them. Was out on foot for about 5 hours yesterday and got some great shots and some really - well, poopy ones. I am at the experimental stage and just go out and play around with the good old triangle.
I'm in this for the pure joy/fun of it and for the long haul.

I will. Can't get to my laptop right now due to major thunder boomers.

OK - here is a shot of the poo, followed by a shot of the producer of the pictured poo. Pretty sure the pictured moose did not actually produce the poo in the picture.
Both shots were taken in the wilds of Alaska with my little Sony P&S set on Program.
The last one is just for fun.

OK, I am feeling very silly today.
By popular request more photos of poo and producers of pictured poo.
This time it's horsies. The first 2 are with my Nikon D5200 on Assateague on a particularly rainy and cloudy day last November. The 3rd one was taken with my Sony P&S in August of 2012 in the Yukon outside of (WAAAYYYYY outside of) Whitehorse.
