Hello to everyone & Happy New Year!!! I've been a subscriber to this site for a few months and it's the best I've seen as far as dealing with photography issues. I've been into photography most of my adult life so I know pretty much how to do what I want to do most of the time. Even though I'm in my early 50's, I'm still learning a lot. What I know is self taught & I'm thinking of taking a class to consistently get the "professional" look on all the images I take. I've shot minor events such as weddings, birthdays, anniversary parties . . . These were done for mostly friends and family. The only charges were for the materials, meals, drinks, or whatever. I would let them know well ahead if they wanted professional quality images they would have to hire a professional photographer. I would often shoot when there was also a pro & sometimes they were happier with the images I shot than they were with the pros. They were good but inconsistent.
I started out with Canon so for the past 25-30 years that's the brand I use. I bought a Nikon F-3 and was I happy with it; to me it was very similar to my Canon F1N. In late 2008 I finally upgraded into the digital world & I bought a Nikon D-60. So far things are going well but Im still learning on it. Eventually I would like to upgrade to a higher quality camera once I master this one. Since this is only an introduction Ill end this posts but I have lots of questions for you.
Welcome to the forum. Hopefully there'll be lots of answers for your questions! Look forward to seeing some of your work.

Welcome to UHH. Looking forward to some of your work.
Welcome. Ask those questions the rest of us don't even know how to form so we can learn some more.
Answers are easy, it's asking the right question that's difficult. (Dr. Who)
A big welcome to the group. I'm fairly new here too. I also have a D60 and love it. I'm not in a real big hurry to upgrade because I'm not into videos and, as I said, I just love this camera.
