Backyard Poppies

My backyard poppies bloomed later than ususal, but when they did they were spectacular. These were shot with a Sigma 70-300 APO DG 4-5.6 Macro mounted on my Canon 550D, from about 5 or so feet away. They were shot when the sun was still high in the sky (not the golden hour).

Thank you. Also note that these images are not cropped. They are straight out of the camera, no PP of any kind. I am quite impressed with this Sigma lens considering that it is a very inexpensive lens.
