I feel more comfortable using my left eye but my face is all over the camera? Is there an advantage of using the right eye? What do you use?

Whatever is comfortable to you... Personally, I use my right eye when utilizing the camera's view finder.

Hold an arm out in front of you and point at an object in the distance. Now close one eye at a time and see which one sees your finger as pointing at the object. If you are "left eyed" as I am, your left eye will see your finger pointing at the object and vice versa. I am left eyed and I agree, my greasy nose gets all over the viewing screen! Oh well.

I find using left eye more comfortable. The are things that I do left handed and other things that I do right handed. Finding dominant eye may help but there are people who don't necessarily have one or have mixed dominance. Just be comfortable and wipe the nose prints off occasionally.

I used to be right eyed, then my sister accidently shoved her whole finger in my eye, now I'm left eyed.

Even though I am right handed and right eye dominant I still use my left eye but I keep my right eye open. Just a habit that I never had a reason to change. I use a glass screen cover and clean it as needed. Not important enough to be concerned about.

I have, at times, been accused of having both eyes closed!

I have been right-eyed all my life. About two years ago, i suffered detachment of the hyaloid membrane which has degraded the sight in that eye. Although I can still see, my right eye is useless for manual focusing and for composing. I am having to retrain myself to use my left eye; it is not easy. Imagine a right handed person having to learn to write or throw with the left hand. Now imagine doing it at 70+ years of age.

This is what I did first when training new shooter (rife, shotgun and pistol) shot over the dement eye and keep both open.

Shooting will be an interesting challenge. I can still get a corrective eyepiece for an older model scope I prefer, but I may have to equip my handguns with a laser sight (preferable) or an Aim-Point (for my larger revolver). I don't hunt any more and my shotgun is a 20" 12ga. Coach Gun bored wide open; I don't need a site for it!

There's more law and order in a 18" 12ga than all the rest put to gather.
