Some winter scenes from Holland ( The Netherlands ) for Garry( GWR) after a request...
And of course also for all the other people who are interested in these winter scenes...

Kids like to stunt on their bikes , they also do it on the ice-floor from a frozen canal....

2e Image:
Skater calling home after making a long trip along the windmills at the Kinderdijk, guess he wanted to be picked up.....:-)

3e Image :
There are signs place on the ice-floor for the people who are riding the tours ( 5-10-20-25-and 50km )

4e Image:
Half way the tour you can get some hot soup or hot chocolate drinks....A specialty is a "grog" hot Thea with Brandy or Rum and a few other ingredients to stay warm...

Mom took her own hot chocolate drink along I guess...
Kids in Holland learn to skate at a very young age...

Great Photos (as usual), Fons. I particularly like the one with the boat frozen until the thaw. The Ice Trees are also beautiful, that was one of the things I loved about the winter in Alaska, was when the temperature drops, the trees are covered with ice and the scene is spectacular. :thumbup: :thumbup:

I agree Lauren, it's always a spectacular view these frozen Trees, all shots are from a while ago , lately we didn't have winters anymore......to bad because I loved skating , making tours at the canals aside the windmills.....:-)
