George, thank you for the link, I know you took the tyme to suss this out and it is appreciated, how ever as you know anyone can un box anything. I want to know if this lens is a almost all purpose lens. I know that you do mostly studio work and would not use this lens. You were considerate enough to lend a hand to me and for that I thank you. I have my eye on the Canon 100-300mm L lens right now....I like to do nature and birding stuff and my 70-200mm just isn't long enough. I have to do too much cropping. Case in point, see attached. I had to crop this way down which means it probably won't print well beyond 8x10, maybe.
