I want this lens but can find no "useful" information on it. I'll mount it on my Canon 550D, anyone out there used it? Seen it? Know anything about it?

And if that's above one's budget, great deals on new or slightly used 18-270 Tamron lenses will abound

Thanx, I am aware of the price and the best places to purchase it, I just want to know what others who have used it think of it, thanx again

Thanx, not interested in the 18-270, my interest is with the 16-300..but thanx anyway,

I have my eye on the Canon 100-300mm L lens right now....I like to do nature and birding stuff and my 70-200mm just isn't long enough. I have to do too much cropping. Case in point, see attached. I had to crop this way down which means it probably won't print well beyond 8x10, maybe.
