I am trying to create a Virtual Matte for this picture so I can figure out what color matte I should use when I have this picture framed. I would appreciate it if you would copy and change the color to what you think would look best.
Thank you in advanced for any input.

Thanks. I never thought of going with a dark color but the dark green really seems to work.

I tried black and liked it... but this blue isn't bad either.
It's a matter of personal taste actually... good luck deciding. :)

Blue

See if a shade of brown would work. Nice scene.

I think a dark yellow or gold might accentuate the yellow in the sky above the barn... would contrast with the green well too. Just an idea... I am not an expert :P

I really don't want to do b&w since I plan on using old barn wood or rough cedar stained kinda grey to make the frame. I guess I should have mentioned that from the get go.

Pretty sure he was looking for input on the matte not the photo.

I'm thinking the same thing along with a grey frame it should look pretty good. I'd like to use a color that is in the picture itself and the blue is looking good.

Here's a sample that the color was taken from the barn:

A double matt, with a small thin black inner matt. Outter matt pickes up the lighter of the cloud color, allowing for a lighter outside matt so that the image stands out as the important element . . .and not the matt, as tends to happen with dark matts.
