This picture was taken June 30, 1929. We are trying to figure out what is the year, make and model of the car.

Any help is appreciated.

I believe it is a 1925-1926 Hupmobile. Hupmobile was made in Detroit for about 20-25 years and was said to be an inspiration for the Lincoln Continental. The grills were about the same. Water caps were a item which many bought afterward to express their own tastes. That's my best guess.

The emblem on the grill looks suspiciously like the Ford emblem. Could it be a Model A ?

It looks a lot like a 1927 Dodge Brothers two door touring sedan to me.

The Hupmobile used to be on the back of the $10 bill. But it was dropped a few years ago after a redesign.

Thank you for your suggestion. I had never heard of a Hupmobile before today. That had me doing some research on the Hupmobile and looking at many pictures. I tend to agree with you.

I did a little research on the suggestions here. The Hupp brothers worked for Ford before creating the Hupmobile. This car really does resemble the Ford but has slightly more characteristics of the Hupmobile. I may be wrong but I will keep looking.

Thank you for your suggestion. It is amazing how so many cars resemble each other. I've always thought the old cars each had such a distinct look. The Hupmobile, Ford and the 1927 Dodge do have many similar characteristics.

Did not know that. However, before today I had never heard of a Hupmobile.

It COULD be an Essex, produced, (in 1929), by Hudson Automobiles of Detroit.

It is almost impossible to see the emblem. I wish the picture were better.
