Checking things off of my "Bucket List"

My bride of nearly fifty years recently passed away after a long battle with heart disease, and this has made me confront my mortality. So, I have decided to travel around the country visiting my far flung relatives that I haven't seen in years. I'd also like to do some things I've always wanted to do. My eldest daughter and her family live in Portlandia, and my sister lives in Phoenix, so I would love to drive down the PCH to LA, and then either drive or fly to Phoenix. Here's the catch, I'd like to rent a classic car (from the sixties) to make the trip. Does anyone out there know of an agency that could rent or lease me such a vehicle? I'd like to make this trip in the late fall(it's too hot in Phoenix for me before that). If anyone can help me, let me know, and we can work out the details using this site's private message feature. Thank you in advance.

I am so sorry for your loss. How wonderful that you had almost 50 years together!!

I don't know about renting classic cars but it sounds like an awesome trip! I hope you have a great time and take lots of photos along the way that you will share with all your UHH friends.

So sorry about your loss but what you have planned sounds like a terrific idea. I'm sure if you just Googled something like "classic/vintage cars for hire" there would be plenty of options. I wouldn't imagine they'd be cheap though. All the best for the venture (and don't forget to pack the camera)

Oh JS. So sad for your loss but very glad you are making this trip. I have no idea on how to rent that dream car, but do google it and see what pops up. Sounds fun! I'll keep you in mind and see if I can find some info for ya.

I thank you both for your compassion, if it wasn't for my children and grandchildren, life would be much harder. By the way, Paul, I looked at your website, and I really like what you did with those automotive shots. The guys and I are going to Indy for the 500(we go every year) and I plan to take a lot of photos there, so I'll post some of the best ones in early June. Maybe, by then I might be able to figure out how you do that. They really look great.

Just south of you somewhere around Hillsboro is a huge car lot that a lot of motion pictures studios use when they are looking for a classic car. At least it was there about 8 years ago. Maybe they could help.
