a bunch of years ago I took this w/ a pns film camera. I scanned it in with all the flaws age can do to a print; lost the negative. I played with this in On One and got the following. How would you improve it? Any and all comments appreciated

Didn't know if you were aware of the post-processing section on UHH. There are always members willing to help with specific issues :)

One thought would be to paste a better exposed moon onto the over-bright one, just to see how looks.

If you are interested in seeing edits from other folks, just say the word :)

I would be curious to see it as a vertical, by cropping the left hand 45 to 60 % of this beautiful color shot.

Thanks!

When I downloaded I noticed lots of dust spots and some scratches. Recently purchased Topaz Clean, which helped with some of that, but it also removed detail from the water.

#1 below has one of my moons replacing yours, slight auto-tone adjust, and Clean blemish removal.

#2 used a tiny bit of Picasa HDR-ish to add some detail back in.

Picasa museum mattes.

There are still some dust spots to be cloned out :)

Thanks!

I'm so glad you're happy with it! It was fun to do. I came late to the pp party, but sure like it now :)
