I have just spent a couple of days in Whitby. Lovely town, friendly people and a wealth of photographic opportunities.
Whitby Abbey 1
Whitby Abbey 2
Whitby Abey 3
Interesting photos--good job.
Was the destruction from King Henry 8?
There are lots of lovely gutted religious buildings gutted by his efforts.
Did you see any bats and ghosts flying out of there?
Very nice! The black and white gives it a moody quality, which is fitting the nature of a ruin, I think.

Mood and composition......well done.
Could you post these in color also?
I love how you've rendered these. The B&W makes it seem moody and stark yet keeps the architecture interesting and detailed. Impressive series.

Many of them in Yorkshire, e.g. Fountaims Abbey, Rivaulx Abbey, Bolton Abbey, Kirkstall Abbey. There are still a number left, Howden Minster, Beverley Minster, and, of course, York Minster!!!!
