Was the destruction from King Henry 8?

Very nice! The black and white gives it a moody quality, which is fitting the nature of a ruin, I think.

We have just been to Whitby for lunch, beautiful sunny day. Really like what you have done with the Abbey, thank you for sharing. :-D :-D

I love how you've rendered these. The B&W makes it seem moody and stark yet keeps the architecture interesting and detailed. Impressive series.

Many of them in Yorkshire, e.g. Fountaims Abbey, Rivaulx Abbey, Bolton Abbey, Kirkstall Abbey. There are still a number left, Howden Minster, Beverley Minster, and, of course, York Minster!!!!
