We just cleaned all of the rugs and hardwood floors this afternoon because we are having company tomorrow. We were babysitting our grandson tonight. He had just taken a bath 5 minutes before these photos were taken. He is almost 20 months old.
I was in the living room watching tv when my wife calls for me. I said that I would be there in a minute. I knew she was calling from the boy's bedroom. She then repeated her call to me using my full name, Thomas. Not Tom or Tommy, but Thomas. I knew I was in trouble but I hadn't done anything.
Just then, my happy little grandson comes running down the hall in a cloud of white dust. Uh, oh.
How is this my fault? I am not the one who gave the kid a bath. I am not the one who left the baby powder on the changing table. But she manages to say "Why weren't you watching him?"! She was down that hallway herself. Still, it was my fault. I just ignored her and started laughing and grabbed the camera.
What's the big deal? It's not my fault that you guys left the baby powder out!
Glad to help with the clean up.
lol, I don't see how it could NOT be your fault...you did the right thing though, grabbed the camera. Quick thinking!
Oh those wonderful Grandbabies,he is so cute just keep on laughing and making wonderful memories with him , they grow up to quick! by the way love #1 that expression on his face is priceless.
In about 20 years your wife will also see the humor in these. Not tonight though! LOL

I always have the camera at the ready when visiting with the grandkids. It's a shame because at that age, they won't remember anything. That is what pictures are for... to annoy them later in life.

It turned out o.k. I just looked at her and she busted out laughing. Then she went to bed.
You had a 20 month old grandson coming to visit and cleaned up BEFORE he came over? 1st mistake. haha As the grandfather of a 27 month old, we've been going through that since he started to walk just before 11 mos. He's into anything and everything. The house may be cleaned up before he arrives, but it certainly needs to be cleaned up when he leaves. If he's not taken out to play during his high energy time then it's really like the proverbial bull in a china closet. It's why we call him The Tornado!!

Reminds me of a slide I have somewhere of my daughter when she was around 4 or 5. She came into our room one morning, got Mommy's makeup and proceeded to decorate herself.
Moments like these are priceless!
