yup, I have one. 90% of the time it comes on the plane with me. I got it for the 10% when it doesn't.

I've used a Zero Halliburton 205 (hardened Aluminum shell) since the 80's with good result. The only grief I have ever had with Security was in Switzerland. They demanded that I remove the locks... I finally agreed since I was carting it aboard. I reinstalled the locks as soon as I was on board. For sitting in airports or hotel lobbies I attach a 130db motion sensor operated alarm to it... If it moves all hell breaks loose.

How much does a bag like that weigh? Does it have wheels?

Pelican makes a larger version with wheels and handles that should be large enough to carry several bodies, and lenses
Ironically, I purchased one to ferry my equipment to shoot a team I was following to Cooperstown NY. I had to change vehicles and it was so large I had to use an alternative bag, a Think Tank Airport Security.
If my memory serves me right you have to buy the foam inserts to completely provide extra protection for your camera equipment
