Canon Firmware Update

I probably need to update my new 5Diii to get the enhanced autofocus capability. Is it just plug it in, click, and bang you're done? No weird questions that I wouldn't know off-hand about this or that? Thanks!

Thank you for asking that question, for I should be asking a similar one. As owner of a 5DMark2 camera, is/was there an update I should have been aware of?

Check your camera for your current firmware version. I believe the last one was 1.2.3 released in October 2013.

I must say that video was exceedingly annoying, but it did give me the overview I was looking for. Thank you! :thumbup:

There are instructions on the Canon website that I had trouble following (7D) and I ended up calling the help number and the guy was very helpful. His instructions were a little different from the printed one and it worked.
