The topic of this post serves only to make Republicans and conservatives look foolish, and believe me, there ARE plenty of them around. Republicans AND Democrats are both being lied to be the ruling administration. The so-called "middle-class" is made up of R's and D's, and both being attacked by job losses, higher healthcare costs, and government regulation.

Remember: Obama/Reid/Pelosi/Carney aren't just lying to Republicans/conservative...they're lying to Democrats/liberals equally. We are all in this together!

The thing that bothers me, phcaan, is that these are ALL people! Even before they are Republicans or Democrats, before they are conservative or liberal, they are American PEOPLE. We all really have more in common than we do differences. But our politicians aren't ours anymore! They are members of an elite group that shares nothing with us. They find it easier to lie to us than be honest. Actually, they don't CARE enough about us to be honest with us.

It just disappoints me, dljen, that because you hold different opinions on some topics than I do, I'm supposed to think you're stupid, dull, incapable of rational thought. I just find that ridiculous. If, indeed, you are stupid, it will take much, much more than differing opinions to convince me of it. Seems like we should be able to chat in a civil manner, play a game of pool, or look at some cool cars, just be plain old people. As I said before: we probably have more in common than not.
