I've observed the site for sometime. When my browser separated the adds from the emails I sort of lost track of "Ugly". Found it the other day and am enjoying reading it daily. I consider myself to be an advanced amatuer photographer. In my retirement it has become a real passion. Fortunately for my wife as well, so we do a lot of traveling and photographing always trying to improve our skills. Oh ya - spenidng a lot of money as well on equipment - we bought a 500 prime the other day. It cost about double what my first new car cost - unbelievable! Traveling to Africa this summer , hopeful for some great pics.

Also, be sure to check out the speciality forums. On home page, go down to "all sections" and then subscribe to any that strike your fancy. You will then see them in newest topics.

Welcome to UHH choward, glad you joined us. Know what you mean about the cost of equipment, this is not a cheap hobby. Sounds like you and your wife are planning one nice trip. Expect to see many photos on your return. Enjoy the forum and have fun.
