Rope Tornado 5-10-14 N.E. of Piedmont, Ks. 8:15 P.M.
Storm Chasing last night was very exciting especially when this Rope Tornado came, seemingly, out of nowhere, touched the ground for just a few seconds then pulled back up. More storms and Tornadoes possible for today.

Most of us hide when storms and tornados are in the area; storm chasers look for them. Your crazy, but you got some great photos. Your closer than I ever want to get.
It was actually about 2 1/2 miles away from where I was. The next day I went to where It was and found No significant damage. Just leaves blown from trees. I was as close as I ever want to get as well!
Great pictures. What camera and lens did you use for those very quick shots?
Good shots, Audie! I'll let the storm chasing to you! :)
