In 2007, the House created a Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. As Speaker, Pelosi set up the structure. There were nine Democrats and six Republicans. "The House has a long history of creating Select Committees focused on crucial issues," Pelosi said in a statement. "With a large number of committees exercising jurisdiction over issues affecting energy and climate, the Select Committee will provide the coordination of information on these critical issues."
Now Pelosi wants an even split between the parties. And that is if Democrats even participate. In her statement today, Pelosi said the new Benghazi committee "should require that witnesses are called and interviewed, subpoenas are issued, and information is shared on a bipartisan basis. Only then could it be fair." Pelosi seemed to indicate that Democrats will take part in the select committee, but other Democrats are calling for their party to boycott the panel. As it turns out, Pelosi has a record of doing just that.

At the end of the day these committee hearings will show themselves to be a colossal waste of time and money. They're only reason for existing is to hurt Hillary Clinton's chances to be elected President.
But alas; the Republicans have no one to run against her. Add to that the rift that grows within the Republican Party every day for every thing from raising the minimum wage to changing their position on voter ID laws and what you are witnessing is a collapse of the GOP, the likes of which hasn't been seen since the Whigs went under in 1852.
Give it up and tell me why we should elect a Republican and who that Republican should be and then maybe you'll have a chance to save the GOP.

I would like Ben Carson and/or Colonel West both in either role. Am a poor white trash for the South but I would give my vote to these to black gentlemen.
I'm not familiar with Carson but I'd gladly vote for West.

Going black is probably the only chance republicans will ever have...

That would be OK with me. I am sure that we can pick a better black man that what the Democrats picked.

Thats the way Pelosi would see it being equal as long as it was 7 democrats to 5 republicans. Thats called Pelosi Math.

We would have had a black Candidate (Herman Cain) if the media and Democrats had not lynched him over unfounded and unproved accusations.

And I will repeat "Last I checked the seating was to be 7 to 5 so how is participating in the committee process equal?" Her complaint was being excluded from the committee process not the unbalanced structure...

At the moment I believe there is only republicans. No Democrats. I haven't been watching the News (FOX) so what is your point?
Something to remember. I do not have to answer your questions so be nice.

I'm sure that you will get some strong opinions as to why Dr. Carson would be a viable candidate. Here's a few examples of the way he thinks.
