Very interesting plant they bloom every morning and then in the evening they drop all of their flowers. The next morning it starts all over again................

I planted 6 plants about 4 years ago and they have taken over my flower planter which is about 10 feet long, they have to be contained. They don't require any special care.

Yes, the bush is called Mexican petunia, it blooms down here in FL all year round.

Petunias root very easily, of course, they don't grow year round in PA, but my mother has a greenhouse and she keeps some of the dirt year to year. The petunias of the previous year often bloom.

You're lucky you live in such a mild climate!

These have tall more woody stalks - not like a regular old petunia. They die in winter and then come back and the do have to be contained of thinned. Pretty but they can take over in no time! They will get to be around 3' tall and thrive on neglect - as daylilies do.

So they're sort of an educated weed? :)

I guess you could call them that. You can buy them or plant from seeds or just take some cuttings and stick them in the ground. Anything that does not require a lot of care gets my vote!
