Hi Everyone: Jthomas here from Lancaster, PA. Somewhat new to UHH; primarily being an observer and occasionally offering a no-brainer comment or two. Thinking that it's about time I get more involved and occasionally share some photos and that maybe first things first would be to explain my avatar.

I was driving by a graveyard monuments sales lot one day and saw this unique memorial; a cross w/ a Man's cutout in its center. The sun was shining brightly in the west and as I looked and thought about it, a very meaningful and profound sentence came to mind and is what is written across the bottom of the photo - that gold line you can barely see. It reads: "Gone from the cross, The Son shines again." If you share my faith in Christ as my Savior, you'll know what I mean. Otherwise, I hope someday you will.

I look forward to getting more acquainted w/ many of you through this unique format - what a wonderful hobby to share!

Beautiful J. and I couldn't agree with you more on the sentiment of the image and statement. Very nice to have you being active here. I'm sure you'll hear from Sinatraman too as he is equally involved with our Lord and Savior

Hey there and welcome. Think it may be better to keep religion and politics out of the discussion. There are so many beliefs and points of view and this site is primarily about photography. Hard to believe that what sometimes enthralls some angers others. Do hope my posting does not offend. Welcome.

Weird effect. I entered my comment 3 times and it never showed up. Kind of smart aleckly so not worth repeating, but have a lot of errors on UHH (402 errors, etc) that don't occur anyplace else.

I agree with the Modest Genius...personal points of view regarding politics and religion should be done on another forum...lets keep on the topic of photography and not risk offending anyone one way or another.
