These won't be to most of your tastes and that's ok. I just wanted to take an image that I liked and make some adjustments that might work for other purposes. And have some fun when I need to wind down.

carlysue,

You are right that the photo is not to my taste. Having said that I find I really do like it because it is different and I don't mind being exposed to different things from time to time. I love the composition, the coloring (or lack of) and I like the feeling it evokes in me of a mom in a tender moment with her baby. If the baby could speak I am sure she would also find it a tender moment. I pray that mom and beautiful baby share many more tender moments like this one.

Very well done,

Dennis

Beautifully done. I rather like the monotone of #1. Simplistic message and tender moment.

I think #2 is just fantastic...funny how just a few lines can tell so much!!...simplistically beautiful...we don't always need lots of color and detail to convey a story or just a moment..nothing to clutter up MY thoughts of this moment! I can make this say whatever I want it to say..therfor I am happy with it! Could be happy, could be sad, could be the silence after the final crying jag,and now the love just pours through their bodies as their hearts beat in harmony! I love it!!

What a wonderful mood you've created Carla.
An image like this triggers off beautiful memories.
In addition, I applaud photographers who aren't afraid to break new ground and who ignore the negative crowd. Good for you!

Pierre

Dennis, that is well said. Thank you for not only stopping by to look but to offer such a kind comment. I am most pleased when my photos evoke an emotional response. And I'm glad you were able to step out of your "normal" zone and see that something "different" had possibilities.

rlaugh, there is a reason I love little raccoons even when someone wants to rant about their mischievous ways! I am so pleased you found the simplicity and beauty in the images and I'm thrilled you love it!!

What a wonderful thing to say, Pierre. Life is so fragile and fleeting,( as we have all been made more keenly aware this week) so I tend to not dwell on negativity. I am glad that this recreated some memories for you.
