Even Homeland Security is saying not to use it because of hacker threats that its vulnerable to. I use Firefox, so I haven't investigated thoroughly.
They say it has the potential to give hackers the same user rights as the current user. That means a successful attacker who infects a PC may have a wide variety of attack options open to them such as installing more malware on the system, creating new user accounts, and changing or deleting data stored on the target PC. I'm curious as to why a successful hacker wouldn't have the same options in any browser once they have gotten into my computer. I wonder if there is anything safe out there.
