HI! From Georgia!

I posted a request for assistance a few days ago, and have been so pleased with the helpful replies, so I thought I should formally introduce myself!
I'm an Administrative Assistant for our town's Fire Chief, and have worked in the Fire Dept. for almost eight years. I've lived in the same small town (in southwest Georgia) almost all of my life. I'm single (after over 20 years of marriage) and currently my family consists of two spoiled kittens. I've been an amateur photographer for most of my adult life. My motto is that if you take enough pictures, you are bound to get a few good ones! I'm not really creative, but I enjoy photography and think I'm ready to progress from an upper level point & shoot to a good DSLR. My other main interests are reading (especially sci-fi), watching movies, traveling, and making jewelry. I also love animals, and have had almost every kind of pet at one time or another.

Welcome Buffylou. Glad to have you with us. I love the first photo....your cat seems to be saying "get that thing out of my face." Keep your guys and gals at work straight and tell them to be careful.

A good book you might want to check out is;Beyond Point- and - Shoot by Darrell Young. It is a great book if you are moving up to Digital SLR. About $17.00 0n Amoson.

Welcome Buffylu, your photos are very nice, great capture, I was a volunteer fireman and EMS for 20 yrs, I am sure you keep the chief in lime.

Everyone asks if I keep the Chief & Firefighters in line.......actually, sometimes I'm the ringleader!! LOL!
