For some reason I cannot open Editor.The bar runs then stops.Organiser works OK. I still have Elements 10 installed and that works OK. Any ideas out there?

If you have the PSE 12 disk go to Control panel
Uninstall PSE 12
Reinstall with disk

Close all running Elements, then open the task manager, check in Applications that Elements is not showing. Open the Processes tab, note and list the Adobe processes including the descriptions. Scroll down the list and see if processes are running under the name Photoshop Elements.
In services, note the Adobe items that are running (not stopped) ignore Adobe Active File Monitor(s), Flash and Acrobat services. Also look for Photoshop Elements.

Check these troubleshooting suggestions. They pertain to Elements 11 but are also used to troubleshoot this problem in Elements 12.
