Today my husband and I went for a hike in hopes of finding a potential owls nest. Well it turned out to be a disappointing find and well we headed back to the road to walk back to the car. As we walked the road we noticed these two chickadees chirping and following us. My husband arrived at the car first and was putting the back pack in the car when one of the chickadees flew down and fluttered above his head.
I had my camera and went to focus and take a shot and the chickadee flew over to the camera and perched on the lens! We were able to get a couple of shots to share, we hope you enjoy them it certainly was the highlight of our day!

Lucky you, a really nice experience😊
Wow, amazing stuff...they sure were trusting. What a great experience.
I am so glad everyone is enjoying as much as we did, thank you!
neat! It seems that someone has been feeding them over the winter or they would not be that friendly. Or else, strange events are beginning to happen in our world!
What great shots. I have never had a bird in my hand. That must have been thrilling for you.
It's amazing how friendly they were. What a surprise. Glad you got to get these photos.
We have been frequent hikers there since the winter months and these two on our first visit surprised us also. We were greeted by them and they followed us through the woods and when we went to leave the followed and were really screaming at us and while I was trying to take a photo of one close to me it flew to my lens and my husband caught it :) I will post that after this response. We went back many times over the winter and never had that experience again and then after that disappointment of the owls nest and my down mood there they were following us along the road and when my husband went to put the backpack in the car down they came fluttering at his head and then landed on him. At one point I had both on me one on my shoulder and one on my hand! Very neat experience and so thankful for it :)
Here is the photo of our very first encounter with our little feathered friends.
