Tonight the moon will be called blood moon. Any ideas on how to get the best shot? I have a Canon 7D.

As always thanks for your help.

I stayed up and got a shot but it's not that great. Took the attached at 3;30AM in Florida with a Canon 7D and 100-400, at 1 second, ISO800, and wide f5.6.

Here is my shots, it was quite a night, I had to wait for the clouds to revel the moon and even then there was a haze. I used a Fuji HS50 at 2000mm handheld, as the moon got smaller it couldn't get good focus.

Nice shot...better than I could get, I used a 300mm zoom with a 2x converter, couldn't stop it down far enough to get the blood moon shot (and it never occurred to my sleep deprived, freezing brain to remove the converter :-( ) but I did get some good shots of the eclipse.

I like that you left the shot "natural"...
