Love the tag line, Joe - very nicely done!!
   I like the picture and your title.
I am certainly dating myself here, but I thought it was Gertrude and Heathcliffe.
Extra points if you know where that came from......

Hi Speedy, happy you liked it. I like your 'car' (Avatar) too. Brings back some happy memories.
No guesses on Gertrude and Heathcliffe? Surely, some of us are old enough to know.....

Hi Gai, happy you like the picture.
Good, family humor... RED SKELTON, one of my favorites.
(Where do I collect my 'extra points'?) :)

Right you are. You know those online slot machines you can play? They're easier to win, much easier, that those in the casinos. They add up all these thousand and millions of dollars you've "won." Your extra points are in the same drawer as the online casino game money......

Oh well Jai, "Better to have played and won, than not to have played at all" :)
But I do have many fond memories of watching Mr. Skelton. He was a comedic genius, and among the last of those who could keep you laughing so hard your sides would hurt and you'd be in tears without using a single dirty word or off-color joke.
I had a personal experience with one of Red's favorite lines once. I was visiting a pal in Austin, Texas, and I drove south the San Antonio to see another pal. Austin is on the very edge of the Texas hill country. It gets to be VERY flat south of Austin, or as Red would've said, "miles and miles of nothin' but miles and miles....."

AMEN! He was one of the very greats in my book. Many, (not all, thankfully), seem to think they need foul language and dirty jokes or inuendos to be funny. Red accomplished the job sometimes without uttering a word! (Ooops, forgot... this is the PHOTO section... got carried away, sorry).
