advice on telephoto lens pansonic h-f045200

I have dmc-g5 camera that I purchased this lens as a power lens.It worked twice on power but will not show up on the camera as attached.I down loaded the firmware for the lens from Panasonic and still will not show connected.I purchased the lens as used.sending it to the repair in Texas with there tract record will seem useless.any advice?

take a look at the lens connections (back of the lens), and try cleaning them.
