I would like you're opinion about the best mirrorless camera for point and shoot. I travel alot and wnat to avoid the DSLR with all the lenses. Looking at the Fuji X 100s but would like different options

Hummmmmm

Everyone will have their own opinion. When you ask a question like this the best answer will be from someone who has several different manufactures so they can give an educated recommendation based on first hand knowledge, another words can rank them by first hand experience ....

If you're good with just having a prime lens, that x100 is a great camera.

Depending on your budget, and camera capabilities you could:

Bridge Camera Options:
Sony rx100 (small, very pocketable, excellent IQ)
Panasonic Lx-7 or Olympus XZ-2, both are less expensive than the x100 and Rx100. but still offer you great low light and really nice IQ

Mirrorless Options:
These have lenses, but they are tiny in comparison to a traditional DSLR
Used EM5 with a panasonic 14mm f2.5, panasonic 20mm f1.7 or olympus 25mm 1.8 (or both), and an olympus 45mm 1.8.

If your budget can stand it, Leica makes some really nice stuff.

I had a Panasonic GX1 for a while.
The micro 4/3 format is nothing to sneeze at.
You can get them used for a pretty good deal and they take Olympus lenses too.
The IQ on that camera was amazing (For reference, I use a Nikon D800 most of the time).
An electronic eye-level viewfinder is available as an accessory.
A friend of mine who has shot some stories for National Geographic uses his for his documentary work.
Only issue I had was ergonomics.
I wound up with a Fuji X-E1.
I would not classify them as point & shoot but at least the Panasonic is pocketable.

Check out Nikon Coolpix A. It's a full frame mirrorless camera.

Pretty sure that's a dx format with CMOS sensor. I think the Sony a7 series the only full format mirrorless. And the rx1
