Just bought a new canon EOS Rebel T3i & I'm still tying to figure out all the functions. So far the pictures I have taken with it have turned out great.

Greetings mhausmann, and welcome to the UHH!

The T3i was the camera that got me back into photography. I had been used to a point & shoot camera, and before that, my Canon AE-1, but these new DSLR's are quite complicated.

The first thing I did was purchase a copy of Jeff Revel's "Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D: From Snapshots to Great Shots". I read it cover-to-cover three times (seriously, I did), and that book taught me not only how to operate the T3i with confidence, it also taught me the rudiments of photography:

Another really good series of camera books are written by David Busch. I got his book for the Canon EOS 6D at the beginning of this year. He also has a book on the T3i:

Hello from a fellow Buckeye, I too have a Canon t3i, and I'm like you, I love it! My children got mine for me for Christmas 2012, right down to the Christmas wrapping that was done with care by my 2 year old granddaughter.

Please feel free to ask any questions that may arise, and contrary to popular belief, there is no stupid questions. Welcome to UHH!
