This is another one I entered in the 2011 Nebraska State Fair - 2nd place for "Windmills Across Nebraska." I know some of you like knowing the settings...sorry <blush>...I keep trying to find the dang settings but am not being successful in finding them. I believe this was on one of the automatic settings. No tellin'. HELP ME...PLEEEEEEEASE.

Hey Joso...This is right off of my computer. I've tried to recover data time and time again and can't seem to get it. I'm not giving up yet...when I find it, I'll start posting it. Thanks for the compliment. Yeah...there's something to be said about getting "out there" to get some cool stuff. The only drawback is ya can't stay out there for too long!!! Again...I probably took about 20+ photos but this particular one was a favorite.

How can I view the EXIF on pictures people post in this group. I am using Picsa. I know I can view my own pictures by right clicking on them, but not others.

Don't worry about knowing or remembering the "settings" of your camera.
That is NOT what photography is about. Photography is having the "eye" or "soul" to see something in the world around you and capturing that moment for the rest of the world to enjoy "visually".
It is the visual aspect that people respond to in your photos not what your lens or aperture setting was.
Too many people here are stuck on numbers and rules and can't get past those to see the "big picture".

matrix i agree with you completly but i got to warn ya from personel expierence on this website YOU CANT WIN THIS ARGUMENT. it is like you spit on their child if you tell people that exposures vary and what worked for me might not work for them. and if you make the mistake and tell them to get a book on exposure and study it when you are comfortable with exposure and depth of field you can look at a photo and preety much determine what the photographer used. I felt like i barely survived custers last stand. Other no no topics include debunking the delusion that in 35mm film produces better quality shots than digital, raising the fact that sony doesn't have a history in optics and buying a bankrupt camera company doesnt change that fact, and also the whole myth of if its post processed with a computer it is not a real photograph. If you care for your sanity do not bring these m subjects up its like you called their kids ugly.

Looks cool (pardon the pun) but would never get past the judges at the state fair. <Laf'n> Thanks for the edit! It's fun to see how others view your photos and what they do with them.

Casting stones? <giggle> I did NOT remove the EXIF data (silly feller) because I wouldn't even begin to know HOW to do that! <Laf'n>

I am not casting stones, I was just letting him know you are not letting people see your camera EXIF...you may have privacy issues with people looking at the fact you shoot in auto mode. lol...

Nope...no privacy issues. I admittedly shoot quite a bit in auto modes, as I'm sure others do as well. I have FUN. This is my personal passion and if I like the way something turns out, then I may post it...if I don't, then you'll never see it. Simple. 'Nuff said.
