I was looking at my first photos with a an $89.00 camera.

This is the Las Matachines group which has been doing this dance since the late 1600's in tribute to their patron saint who protected them during the pueblo Indian revolt. Bernalillo,NM.

What is the oldest tradition in your area still being performed?

I would like to visit it and take photo's

Every year on Christmas day some volunteers get all dressed up as revolutionary soldiers, including George Washington and hop into some durham boats and cross the Delaware River. Usually commands a rather large crowd. One year the river was too dangerous due to ice conditions and they walked across on a bridge. I kid you not,,,, No bridge when george was around. One year it was kinda warm and a bunch of us went up to watch in a boat....we got yelled at.

Born in Newark Beth Israel, been living in Pa for close to half my life now, but I still feel like a jersey girl....why its just across the river.

This is one of my clever shots of the bridge they walked and I cross regularly into NJ. Matter of fact I best get my tail moving.

I think im going to post it for critique and see what folks say.
You can have this preview.....obviously this is not during the winter...it was this past fall....Im working on four seasons.
