I was at McCormick Place shooting a job last week. As I left, I could not resist stopping for a few pictures of the waves crashing onto the shore. The wind was blowing strong on shore and as the waves crashed, the water turned to ice crystals and were blown into my face. What a photographer will go through to get a shot.

I guess getting the dramatic shot fuels the masochistic tendencies photographers seem to have. Or maybe vice versa.

Thank you. I must have been at least 40 feet from the shore. That was as close as I wanted to get. I was more afraid of getting a parking ticket because I was not going to feed the meter for just a few minutes (Chicago parking meters are not cheap since former Mayor Daly sold them to a private company).
