Thank you for your response another quick question there are two models of the sony they look almost the same do you have an opinion which one to buy?

The Sony RX-100 II has a few advantages:
* slightly better "mid ISO" performance
* an accessory shoe so you can add an external flash.
The RX-100 advantages are that it is cheaper and smaller. Since you already have the DSLR "system", I think for this purpose the cheaper one makes sense, as Cdouthitt said.
