I am looking at backdrops for a home studio. Does anyone have an opinion on the Backdrop Alley brand, or other brands.
Thanks in advance.
Bob
I've got a few off of Amazon for around $40.00 which seems to work fine, but the better ones I've had, my sister tye-dyed some old white flat sheets in different colors ( dark gray, Blueish... and seems to work fine for head and upper torso shots. Try it, nothing but a few dollars. You might like it and if you have kids, throw in a few white t-shirts for fun.
The choice of kind, size, and quality of backdrops depends upon what is being shot in what size area. Lighting type figures in too.
Is this for headshots, couples, families?

Just for family portraits, 3/4 shots, not large groups. I am returning the Impact brand to B&H. When trying to clean it, the dye came off and left streaks. I did order a Backdrop Alley 10x12 from B&H. The company that makes it is about 40 miles from where I live, but the don't sell locally.
